Dear
Colleagues,
We
(Ravi Bhardwaj and Paul Corkum) will
organize the 2009 Cross Border workshop on
the campus of the University of Ottawa
(near NRC and also near the Parliament
Buildings in Ottawa). We propose May 28 -
30, just before CLEO and just after
Photonics North.
As
you know, some of the most important
optics-related work in the world takes
place in this eastern border region. The
conference will feature lectures from
leaders in the field of optics and
photonics. It will also include lab visits
to the University of Ottawa labs and to
the NRC Femtosecond and Attosecond labs
and a poster session.
The
workshop is aimed at institutions within
driving distance of Ottawa so that you can
bring your students cheaply and easily.
The registration fee will be Cdn $ 100,
mostly for coffee, lunches and one dinner.
We hope that you will tell your faculty
colleagues. We suggest renting a van or
two and bringing a van-load of students
with you.
We
